Celtic have built up quite the squad during the time of Ange Postecoglou as manager of the club. There success speaks for itself. They won the double last season, when expectations were very low coming into it, after the 2020/21 campaign. This time around, a double looks almost certain as well, while winning a treble is still possible.

It will be important for Celtic to keep their best players at the club moving forward as well. A number of them have been linked with moves away in the summer after their impressive performances for the Hoops.

One player who could be on the way out is Liel Abada. He has been heavily linked with a move away in recent weeks. And now, it looks like another club have joined the race to sign him.

As reported by Sky Sports, Ajax are in the race for Abada. The Dutch club have been monitoring his situation at Celtic. Clubs from England and Portugal are also looking at whether the Israeli international will be available for transfer this summer, due to the fact he has not been a regular starter.

Why Sky Sports update is worrying for Celtic

While Abada might not be a regular starter for Celtic, he is someone that Postecoglou has relied on heavily throughout the season as an option to bring off the bench and change the course of games. And he has shown that he is very capable of that as well.

Abada is also just 21 years of age. Thus, one would expect him to get a lot better as he gains more experience.

In the past, he was linked with a move to Southampton. But the Saints seem destined to be relegated from the Premier League. Now though, with Ajax appearing to be looking to sign him, keeping Abada at Parkhead might have gotten a lot tougher.
