It is safe to say that the Rangers have improved since the arrival of Michael Beale as manager but whenever up against Celtic, they have failed to deliver. They lost the latest Glasgow Derby by a 3-2 scoreline to fall twelve points behind the Hoops in the Premiership title race, and are yet to get a win over their rivals in the ongoing campaign.

It is safe to say that Celtic have dominated Scottish football over the past couple of seasons. This time around, a double looks almost certain while a treble is still on the table.

It is safe to say that the Rangers are struggling to catch up with Celtic. They have been near perfect in the league since the arrival of Beale as manager and yet, they have only seen the gap increase between themselves and the Hoops. And now, the Ibrox club seem to have been handed another problem.

As reported by The Athletic, Nottingham Forest are looking to appoint Rangers sporting director, Ross Wilson, in a senior football role. They are in contact with the Ibrox club. There is confidence that he will accept the offer.

It is safe to say that the Rangers have been a club who have lacked stability in recent times. Managers have been changed, key players have left and not been properly replaced.

Now, if their sporting director ends up leaving as well, that is just another problem for them to solve. And that is the last thing that they need when Celtic seem to be pulling away.

Of course, Celtic will not be concerned about what is going on at Ibrox. They have still have to get over the line in the league title race while they will surely have their eyes on the Scottish Cup as well. There’s nothing quite like winning a domestic treble after all.
