Celtic interested in signing Everton player as free agent
Celtic have shown a brilliant eye for picking out talent during the time of Ange Postecoglou as manager. The Hoops have pulled off one transfer masterstroke after another during this period of time and it has been one of the biggest reasons behind their successes on the pitch over the past two seasons, when the expectations were so low initially.
It looks like the club have an youngster in their sights in the form of Everton midfielder, Isaac Price. They came up against him in the friendly match with the Toffees in Australia, during the Sydney Super Cup tour.
Price’s current deal with Everton is set to run out in the summer and it looks like he could very well be on the move. But there is some bad news for Celtic in the chase to sign him.
As reported by the Liverpool Echo, Celtic and Rangers were among those interested in Price. But he is in talks over a pre-contract with Pro League side Standard Liege. The Belgian side are now favourites for his signature.

Price has always been highly rated at Everton. In fact, in the friendly game against Celtic in Australia, he was one of the best players on the pitch.
Despite that, first-team chances have been hard to come by at the Merseyside club. And while there have been suggestions that Everton were keen to keep Price at the club moving forward, it looks like the teenager wants to test himself in the senior game.
Signing someone with the potential of Price, who is still just 19 years of age, would have been a major coup for Celtic. But at the moment, Standard Liege look like his most likely destination in the summer.
