Celtic hero takes dig at Todd Cantwell’s recent claim
Despite losing another Glasgow Derby at the hands of Celtic, it looks like the Rangers’ players have somehow taken confidence from their trip to Parkhead. The game ended 3-2 in favour of the Hoops, with a brace from Kyogo Furuhashi and a goal from Jota sealing the win and the three points to send Ange Postecoglou’s side to the brink of another Premiership title.
Celtic were nowhere near their best on the day but they were still good enough to get a win over the Rangers, who made some big errors at the back. When the Scottish Cup semi-final comes around later this month, the fans will be hoping for a better performance from Postecoglou’s team though.
On the other hand, some claims coming from the Rangers camp following the Glasgow Derby has raised a few eyebrows. One of them was from January signing, Todd Cantwell.
As reported by the Daily Record, Cantwell took to Instagram and wrote:
"“We lost the game, they didn’t win it. The disappointment is real. We continue to stick together and build in the right direction. This is a project and a exciting one. Stick together as one.”"

It is safe to say that Chris Sutton was not impressed with Cantwell’s comments on social media. The former Celtic star ended up tweeting out:
"Celtic scored 3 Todd. Rangers scored 2… so Celtic won and Rangers lost."
Since then, Cantwell has come out on social media and claimed that it was not a jibe, and to always respect the opponents. But a lot of fans did not seem impressed with that either.
At the end of the day, Celtic scored more goals than the Rangers. Did the Ibrox club make mistakes which at the back led to the opposition scoring? Well, most definitely. Games of football often end up getting decided because of them though, and it is not a rare instance.
The fact of the matter is that the Rangers are yet to win a Glasgow Derby this season. And hopefully, that will remain the case. If it does, there is a good chance that Celtic could end up winning a treble.
