Celtic have a stacked squad at this point of time, which they have build up over the four transfer windows under the management of Ange Postecoglou till now. They have relentlessly added to their roster over the past couple of years. And they have reaped the benefits on the pitch. The club have already won three trophies during the spell of the Australian at Parkhead and more could be set to follow soon.

One important signing that the club made early on in Postecoglou’s run at Celtic Park is bring in Joe Hart. Now, many have raised questions about his form recently, but nobody can deny that the Englishman has brought some much needed stability between the posts while also establishing himself as a leader in the team.

With Hart holding onto the first-team gloves though, there are other goalkeepers who have barely featured. Scott Bain falls under that category, having not made a single appearance this season till now.

When Bain was brought in in 2018, the hope was that he would be the long-term goalkeeper for Celtic. He has not managed to ever nail down that post though. And now, it might be time to part ways with the Scot.

Bain is a decent goalkeeper but it does not feel like he will ever be the first choice between the posts at Celtic. In fact, he seems to be third in the pecking order right now, behind Hart and Benjamin Siegrist.

Some rumours have also suggested that Celtic will look for another goalkeeper in the summer. And if that turns out to be the case, then even more reason for Bain to head out.

His current deal with Celtic is believed to run till the summer of 2024. At 31 years of age, Bain could still have a decent career ahead of him elsewhere, especially as a goalkeeper.
