Celtic continued their dominant run in the Glasgow Derby with a 3-2 win over the Rangers at Parkhead. A brace from Kyogo Furuhashi and a strike from Jota were enough to crown the Hoops the victors on the day, and the result might have put the Premiership title race to bed as well. It was a great day for the fans to say the least.

Celtic have been pretty dominant in derbies under the management of Ange Postecoglou. They have not lost one this season till now, and hopefully, that will remain the case.

On the other hand, the Rangers do not seem to be happy with Alfredo Morelos’ goal from the first half being disallowed. And it looks like the Ibrox club are looking to take steps about the matter as well.

As reported by Sky Sports, Rangers will write to the Scottish FA for an explanation over why Morelos’ goal at Celtic Park was disallowed.

Morelos’ strike was ruled out for what was adjudged to be a push on Alistair Johnston. The VAR seemed to agree with the decision as well.

Now, both players were tangling in the box before the ball came. But Morelos did have both his hands on Johnston, before the Canadian defender went down.

The thing is, even if many might question the decision, there is no way to show that it was a clear and obvious error on the part of the referee. If the play had not ended up as a goal, nobody would have batted an eye.

Chris Sutton had a hilarious reaction to the news on Twitter:

At the end of the day, it was a deserved win for Celtic. And one can only hope that this was enough to secure them the league title for all intents and purposes.
