Celtic are nearing another league title win this season, with Ange Postecoglou’s team leading the title race by twelve points after their latest win over the Rangers. If everything goes as planned, the Bhoys will be seen rejoicing a second straight Premiership triumph at the end of the ongoing campaign.

There is a lot to play for between now and the end of the season though. Having already won the League Cup, Celtic have a chance to win a treble this season, with the Hoops aiming for both the Premiership and the Scottish Cup.

However, there is some way to go when it comes to the long-term goals for the Glasgow giants, which also includes the development of their youngsters. This season, Postecoglou has been quite open about giving chances to the club’s young talents.

One of the players who has caught a lot of eyes while playing for the Celtic B side is Rocco Vata. Pundits and fans alike appear to believe that he has everything to make the senior team on a more regular basis.

As reported by Football Insider, when asked if it was a positive sign that Vata was included in the first-team match when the B team had an important game at the same time, Alan Hutton said:

"“Absolutely.“That is the be-all and end-all. Yes it is good playing with the B team and trying to win trophies and leagues but ultimately you are there to try and make the first team.“If you are doing well enough to get there then that is brilliant, that is what you want to see. Especially the fans, they want to see these players come through. That is where you want to be, in the first team.“Yes the B team had a big game against their biggest rivals but you want to be in that first team squad list every single time. So I think that is an excellent thing.“"

Under the management of Postecoglou, the Celtic B team star has made two appearances for the senior side already. And he has been putting up some big numbers at the developmental level as well.

The road to cementing his spot in the Hoops’ starting XI could be long and bumpy, but it looks as if Vata has got what it takes to become a first-team player for the Bhoys. The important thing is that his development continues on in the same trajectory.
