Glasgow remained green and white as Celtic got themselves a thrilling 3-2 win over the Rangers in the latest Glasgow Derby. Kyogo Furuhashi scored another brace against the Ibrox side while Jota got himself on the scoresheet as well. James Tavernier scored twice himself but it was for nothing, as he could not prevent his team from falling twelve points behind in the league title race with just seven more games to go.

Michael Beale’s side would have come into this game knowing that they needed a win to have any hope of taking the title race down to the wire. But despite Celtic not being at their best on the day, the Rangers could not get the job done.

It was only the Rangers’ second loss under the management of Beale. But both have come against Celtic, the previous one being in the final of the Scottish League.

Moussa Dembele is someone who had his fair share of big moments in the Glasgow Derby. And he sent out a brilliant tweet after Celtic’s victory in the recent one. It read:

"Usual business on Glasgow derby day"

Of course, Celtic have a couple of games against the Rangers still to be played this season. One is going to be in the league. And the other in the semi final of the Scottish Cup.

A potential treble is still on the table for the Hoops. While after today’s result, a double looks almost certain. Nothing can be said in football though and as a result, the Bhoys cannot rest on their laurels going into the final part of the campaign.

This side will know that better than most though. They have been absolutely relentless in their pursuit of silverware this season, only losing and drawing once each in domestic competitions till now.
