Celtic have been busy in strengthening their squad over the previous four transfer windows. Yes, key players like Giorgos Giakoumakis and Josip Juranovic have headed out the Parkhead exit door during this period of time. But overall, the focus has been on signing players. The situation could be different this summer though.

A number of Celtic players have impressed over the past couple of seasons. And it looks like they have caught the attention of clubs abroad, as many are being linked with moves to the Premier League.

One player who is believed to be drawing Premier League interest is Liel Abada. The Israeli international was signed in the summer of 2021 and has played a key part in Celtic’s triumphs since then.

Rumours have suggested that a £10 million transfer bid could come in for Abada. And if that indeed turned out to be the case, then the club should definitely consider the prospect of letting him go.

Abada has been important to this Celtic team. But at this point of time, he finds himself out of the starting XI, as Daizen Maeda and Jota have pretty much nailed down the two flanks.

Abada has mostly been used as an impact substitute and to be fair to him, he has done a great job, contributing with both goals and assists. He has found starts difficult to come by though. And a £10 million transfer offer might be too good to turn down for a player with a role off the bench.

On the other hand, there have been suggestions that Abada is interested in a Parkhead exit as well. And if that is truly the case, then it might make sense for all parties to let him go. In many ways, it would be a similar deal to the one for Jeremie Frimpong a couple of years back.
