Celtic double injury concern after latest training footage
Celtic are getting ready for one of the most important matches of their campaign. They will welcome the Rangers to Parkhead this weekend, in a game that could end up determining the fate of the Premiership title. If Ange Postecoglou’s side are able to win, they will go 12 points clear with just seven games to go. And that might end the race for all intents and purposes.
Celtic have a great record against the Rangers during the time of Postecoglou as manager. Especially at Parkhead, where they have gotten some big wins. Also, in their previous meeting, the Hoops ended up lifting the Scottish League Cup as well.
Thus, Celtic should be confident going into the game. But at the same time, one cannot overlook the fact that they have multiple fitness issues ahead of the Glasgow Derby.
As reported by 67 Hail Hail, in Wednesday’s ‘Lennoxtown Unfiltered’ footage posted on Celtic TV, the team is seen training. Neither Reo Hatate nor Greg Taylor were seen at all in the session though.
Celtic handed double injury concern ahead of Glasgow Derby vs Rangers
Both Hatate and Taylor have picked up injuries in recent times. The Japanese midfielder was forced off the pitch early in the first half in the game against Hibernian, the last match before the international break. On the other hand, the Scottish left-back picked up an issue in the previous match against Ross County and had to be subbed off as well.
Both are key players in this team and nailed on starters currently. Thus, Postecoglou must surely be hoping that they are available for selection against the Rangers.
There have been some positive rumours about their situation though. So, fans would be hoping that they have been purposely left out of the training footage, to spring a selection surprise at the weekend.
