Celtic have a stacked squad of players at this point of time. They have reaped the rewards for that on the pitch as well and a potential treble is still on the table. Their depth has also meant though that there are some players who might not be getting the playing time that they are expected to be looking for.

One player who might fall under that category is Liel Abada. The Israeli international was signed in the summer of 2021 and played a key role last season.

He remains important to this team this time around as well. But Abada has found starts harder to come by this season, as Jota and Daizen Maeda have established themselves as the two starting wingers in the starting XI. On the other hand, the Israeli international has been playing the role of an impact substitute.

He has done that well too. But rumours have suggested that Abada could be looking towards the Parkhead exit door in the summer.

As reported by Football Insider, Celtic expect Abada to depart the club this summer. They are believed to be willing to let him go for a transfer fee of between £7 million to £10 million.

Abada is an important player for this Celtic team and has made an impact off the bench with his goals and assists time after time. At the same time though, it is not hard to see why the youngster might be looking for more playing time.

If he was to leave Celtic in the summer, then that would be a blow for sure. But at the same time, a £10 million transfer fee would be significant for a player who is playing the role of an impact substitute. Let’s see what the future holds for Abada.
