Celtic fans blown away by player’s performance vs Ross County
By StevieMac
It wasn’t the most sparkling or exhilarating Celtic performance this season, but 3 points and an away win is fair reward from the trip to Ross County. There were not too many standout performances on the day but one did seem to catch the eye of the supporters.
Kyogo Furuhashi had been quiet for much of the game. He missed a real sitter in the second half with the goal at his mercy and just the goalkeeper to get past, but put it wide past the post instead. Ange Postecoglou often swaps his strikers around during matches anyway, so it was just business as usual rather than a reflection on the Japanese star when January signing Hyeon-gyu Oh replaced him at the 75th minute mark.
Oh had already been praised for his work ethic recently. He featured in both of South Korea’s games against South American opposition during the break, helping build his relatively new experience of top level international football.
Oh has done well in his appearances for the Hoops so far and has 3 goals to his name. At times he has looked more of a raw talent keen to make a positive impression than a finished article. But that’s very understandable for a youngster playing abroad at a new club.

There are signs that he is taking it all in his stride and settling in very well to the demands in Scotland. Oh may only have had 15 minutes against Ross County to show what he could do but he made the most of that opportunity and had Hoops fans praising his performance on Twitter and reckoning they were really starting to see his true potential:
He certainly seems to have taken confidence from his South Korean trip displaying a more controlled and polished performance against Ross County with some great overall play and passes which created chances for both himself and his team mates. A sublime turn when he took the ball down from a long kick out by Joe Hart led to a shot on goal and kept his fans excited with delight.
Certainly the future for Oh looks very bright and Celtic may well have another terrific player and goal scorer about to emerge.
