Celtic were able to navigate the tricky away test against Ross County in order to restore their nine point lead at the top of the table. With just eight more league games to go, they have to be considered the favourites to go on and win it from here. There are two Glasgow derbies left to be played in the Premiership though, which could prove to be vital.

The first of them will be played at Parkhead next weekend. And if Celtic are able to win, that would put them twelve points ahead with seven league games to go. Thus, such a result could end the title race for all intents and purposes.

Celtic were handed a major worry in the game against Ross County though, when it appeared that Greg Taylor had picked up an injury and he was forced off the pitch. Of course, this would be the worst time possible for such a key player to be injured.

There appears to be some great news though, as it looks like the issue is nothing serious and Taylor should be available for selection against the Rangers. As reported by Glasgow Live, Ange Postecoglou said:

"“He had a dead leg which hampered him.“But it’s nothing that’s going to keep him out I wouldn’t think.”"

Taylor has managed to establish himself as a key starter for Celtic. As a result, if he is indeed fit enough to feature against the Rangers next weekend, then that would be great news.

Taylor has gone from being just a squad player to one of the club’s most consistent performers. Of course, Postecoglou deserves credit for the transformation that the left-back has undergone under his management over the past couple of seasons.

Celtic are missing quite a few players through injury at the moment. Hopefully, most of them will be available against the Rangers.
