Rangers got a 2-0 win over Dundee United this weekend. Celtic will get the chance to restore their nine point lead at the top of the table soon though, when they make the trip to Ross County to take on Malky Mackay’s team. The Hoops must take their A-game as well as the opposition are looking to avoid relegation and are expected to give it their all.

After that, there will be a very important Glasgow Derby between Celtic and the Rangers at Parkhead. And if the Hoops end up winning on that occasion, it could end the title race for all intents and purposes.

Anything other than a win will be a blow for the Rangers. And their recent record at Parkhead has been nothing to write home about for sure. On the other hand, their previous meeting, in the final of the League Cup earlier this season, ended in defeat for Michael Beale’s team as well.

Beale’s side have struggled to play their football when up against Celtic. As reported by the Daily Record, the Rangers manager said:

"“I think we need to prove we can play our fluid football in that game. I haven’t seen that as much as I’ve wanted to against Celtic, especially in the last game (cup final). The game at Ibrox was a bit different but we need to be decisive in both boxes next week.”"

Celtic cannot make the mistake of looking past the challenge that Ross County possess. Every game is worth three points and needs to be treated with equal respect.

Of course, the Hoops will know that very well. They have been relentless in their pursuit of a second straight league title. They have only lost and drawn once each in the Premiership this season till now. Hopefully, it will remain that way.

Of course, a lot of fans will already have one eye on the upcoming Glasgow Derby at Parkhead. And one can expect a tremendous atmosphere on the occasion. Hopefully, the Bhoys will be able to get the job done on the pitch against their biggest rivals.
