A number of Celtic players have stood out under the management of Ange Postecoglou. The club have already won three trophies during the time of the Australian and more could be on the way soon, as they are leading the Premiership title race and are in the semi finals of the Scottish Cup as well, where they will be taking on the Rangers.

With the performances that some of the players have put in recently, it is no surprise that they have been linked with moves down south. And one player who has seemed to be drawing interest from the Premier League is none other than Liel Abada.

Abada has been an important player for Celtic, especially with his contributions off the bench. But he is not a regular starter at Parkhead right now. And he has been told that he is not ready for a move to the Premier League yet.

As reported by Football Insider, Frank McAvennie said about Abada:

"“If he goes somewhere else he will be like another player.“Abada is not ready to go to the Premier League. He is at a huge club, the fans love him and he has got to settle down.“"

It is important to remember that Abada is still just 21 years of age. He might not be starting regularly now but that does not mean that he does not have the ability to develop into a starter eventually.

Abada has all the tools required to be one of Celtic’s most important players. The one area where he is lacking at the moment is consistency but that is to be expected of a player who is just 21.

On the other hand, there are the likes of Jota and Daizen Maeda ahead of Abada in the pecking order. A lot of players would struggle to get minutes ahead of those two.

As a result, the best step for Abada right now might be to stay put at Celtic and continue developing his game. A move to the Premier League might come too early for him at this moment.
