Celtic have earned a lot of plaudits for the additions that they have made to the squad under the management of Ange Postecoglou. The club’s recruitment and scouting over the past 21 months or so, has been one of their key strengths and has helped them return to the top of Scottish football much sooner than anybody could have expected after the disaster that was the 2020/21 campaign.
Within a short period of time, the club were able to bring in players like Kyogo, Jota, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Reo Hatate, and several others. They have gone on to be key contributors to the club’s success over the past couple of seasons.
Celtic have already won three trophies during the time of Postecoglou as manager. And there could be more silverware on the way this season, if they are able to finish things strong.
On the other hand, it looks like the club are continuing to strengthen their set up both on and off the pitch. As reported by Football Scotland, Celtic have brought in former Southampton scout Kevin Hamill as they continue to strengthen their recruitment team.
Celtic make excellent signing to Postecoglou’s team
It was not too long ago that Celtic had added Joe Dudgeon from the City Football Group to their recruitment team. And now, it looks like they have added Hamill to their ranks as well.
Of course, Celtic will already be familiar with Hammill. He played a vital role in taking the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Victor Wanyama and Fraser Forster away from Parkhead and to Southampton.
Thus, it is clear that Hammill has a great eye for talent and hopefully, he will prove to be an excellent backroom addition to Postecoglou’s staff as it is clear that the club are looking to strengthen their ranks further moving forward.
