Celtic have not had to face too many injury problems this season till now. But as we are heading towards vital weeks of the campaign, with the Premiership and Scottish Cup still up for grabs, it looks like the fitness problems are starting to mount up for Ange Postecoglou’s team all of a sudden.

Even before the international break, there were rumours that some stars were playing through injury problems. And the issues have only increased since.

Liel Abada appears to have picked up an injury while away on international duty. And while not believed to be a major issue, it could end up seeing him miss some key games.

As reported by The Scottish Sun, Abada faces an injury sweat after the Israel national team sent him back to Celtic for treatment and manager Alon Hazan said about the situation:

"“To Liel’s credit, it should be said that he did everything to be fit.“But unfortunately he arrived injured and it’s not possible.“It is a minor injury but it would still limit him from playing.“He did not agree to give up the possibility of being available and has tried everything, but it hasn’t worked.”"

Rumours in the Israeli media seem to suggest that Abada could end up missing at least a week of action. On the other hand, Celtic are set to face the Rangers on April 8 in the Scottish Premiership at Parkhead. Thus, the winger is in a race against time to be fit for that important match.

Abada is not a regular starter for Celtic by any stretch of the imagination but he is still a very important part of their team. He has been regularly brought off the bench to make an impact and he has been successful in doing that on numerous occasions as well.

Abada’s ability to make an impact in the final third of the pitch is special, as he has shown time after time with his goals and his assists. Thus, one will be hoping that he returns to full fitness as soon as possible with many important games coming up.
