Celtic are enjoying a great campaign and have laid down the foundations for major success. Ange Postecoglou’s team have already won the League Cup, they are leading the Premiership title race by nine points as well with just nine more league games left to be played and are also in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup, where they will be taking on the Rangers.

It is a great position to be in for sure. Now, the important thing is to finish the campaign strong and bring home more silverware. A potential treble is still on the table.

Of course winning the league is most important. Celtic have a significantly better goal difference as well and with just nine games to go, realistically, winning six more should be enough to see them being crowned champions of Scotland again. And it will come with the added bonus of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League group stage and the riches that come with it.

As reported by Football Insider, Celtic are on course to securing a minimum of £27 million if they earn automatic qualification for the UEFA Champions League group stage.

Scotland remain in 9th position in UEFA’s five-year country coefficient ranking, so the league winners will go straight into the Champions League group stages once again next season.

This time around, Celtic had made the competition after a long gap. They were drawn in the same group as Real Madrid, RB Leipzig and Shakhtar Donetsk. And despite putting in several promising performances, they were not able to win a single game.

Thus, they will surely be looking to get a chance to fix that in Europe’s elite competition. But the most important thing to do before that is making sure that they win the Premiership ahead of the Rangers. Celtic are favourites but it is not a foregone conclusion.
