Scott Sinclair established himself as a club hero during his time at Celtic. When he had arrived at Parkhead, it was clear that his career needed a bit of a boost. Despite being very highly rated, he had had underwhelming spells at teams like Chelsea, Manchester City and Aston Villa. Swansea City had been the only club where he had found some success.

A failure at Celtic could have been a huge blow to Sinclair. But unfortunately, his stint in Glasgow proved to be a grand success.

He was one of the most important parts of the team that went on to win the Treble Treble. Sinclair was key to Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic side. And over his first three seasons at the club, he would go on to score 60 goals in total from the wing.

Sinclair seems to have fond memories from his time wearing the Hoops and has gone on to describe it as the happiest time of his career. As reported by the Daily Record, the former Celtic star told the Daily Mail:

"“(It’s) Probably the happiest time of my career. Swansea was great, but until you play for Celtic you don’t understand what it really means. From the moment you put on the shirt you feel what a massive club it is and that never leaves you.“You walk out against Rangers and you hear the roar from the fans. You know everyone in Scotland is watching. It is so intense. There’s nothing like it.”"

Sinclair would go on to lose his place in the starting XI under the management of Neil Lennon, despite playing a key role for his club for three years. And it was not long before he would end up departing Parkhead.

He would leave Celtic in order to join Preston North End. And now, Sinclair finds himself at Bristol Rovers. It remains to be seen how long he continues playing before hanging up his boots.

Interestingly, it is at Bristol Rovers that Sinclair had come through the ranks and it might be the right place for him to end his career. His contract there runs till the summer of 2024. He is still 33 years of age though and might have quite a bit of football left in the tank.
