Celtic and Liverpool are two clubs which are interlinked with each other. Several great players have represented both over the years. And they obviously share the iconic anthem ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’. Legends from the two giants of European football are set to come together this weekend, at Anfield, with the aim of raising money for good causes.

It will be a great opportunity for the fans to see several legends put on the Celtic jersey once again. The likes of Stiliyan Petrov, Mikael Lustig, Joe Ledley, Emilio Izaguirre, Robbie Keane and Artur Boruc are just some of the names who will take to the Anfield pitch at the weekend against a star-studded Liverpool Legends side.

Paul Lambert will be the manager of the Hoops on the day, while Tom Boyd will be his assistant. And even though it is a charity match between the legends of the two clubs, Celtic look set to take an impressive away support with them to Anfield.

As reported by the club on their official website, over 4,000 Celtic supporters will make the trip to Anfield, packing out the away section of the stadium.

Of course, the match is being organised in order to raise money for some good causes. All of the proceeds from the game will go to Celtic FC Foundation, Forever Reds and a range of programmes.

While it is just a charity match, it will be great to see so many legends of Celtic pull on the Hoops once again. And hopefully, we will get to witness some wonderful football at Anfield as well. Maybe a few can even turn back the clock.

And of course, there will be a strong away presence for the Hoops at Anfield, with 4000 fans making the trip. Let’s hope for the best game possible.
