Celtic will want to have as players fit as possible, heading into the business end of the season. There is a potential treble up for grabs, with the Premiership and the Scottish Cup still to play for. There is quite a bit of football to navigate through though and fitness issues can become a concern for Ange Postecoglou’s team.
Aaron Mooy and Tomoki Iwata were left out of the squad vs Hibernian, while Reo Hatate ended up picking up an injury in that very same game. On the other hand, questions have been raised about the fitness of Greg Taylor, Daizen Maeda and Cameron Carter-Vickers as they are believed to be playing through injuries.
As a result, when news emerged that Liel Abada had picked up an injury while away on international duty, it was clearly a concern for the Hoops. But fortunately, there seems to be some good news regarding the matter.
As reported by Football Scotland, Abada has avoided a serious injury but could miss Israel’s Euro 2024 qualifier against Kosovo. Scan results showed that Abada has not suffered any muscle tear.
Celtic have been handed some great news after latest injury scare
Abada being fit is important for Celtic. He might not be a starter for the club, but he is still an important member of the team and is regularly brought off the bench to make an impact.
And he provides this impact as well, as he has scored many goals and provided assists, to turn the tide of games in the past. Thus, they will want him to be available.
We can only wish Abada the best in his recovery and let’s hope that he is back to full fitness by the time he returns from the international break, and is ready to go for the Hoops once again.
