There is hardly silence around a club like Celtic and it was only a matter of time before questions were raised about the future of Ange Postecoglou once again. The Australian has been linked with Premier League clubs like Leeds United, Everton, Southampton, Wolves and Brighton & Hove Albion. And this time around, it looks like Tottenham Hotspur have an eye on the manager.

Antonio Conte is currently the manager of Tottenham Hotspur. But after a controversial interview recently, it looks like his days at the club are numbered.

As reported by The Telegraph, Tottenham Hotspur are expected to agree Conte’s departure from the club this week. Of course, that would leave them in search of a new manager.

Unsurprisingly, one of the managers being linked with the Tottenham Hotspur job is Postecoglou. Having won three trophies and transformed the Hoops over the past 20 months or so, it is not hard to see why the Premier League giants might hold an interest in the Australian. But there is some good news for Celtic fans amidst all this.

Major Celtic news amid Tottenham Hotspur rumours

As reported by Football Insider, Celtic are confident Postecoglou will not quit mid-season to join Tottenham Hotspur or any other Premier League club.

Postecoglou has already won three trophies at Celtic and is still in contention to win two more, as the Hoops are leading the Premiership title race by nine points and are in the semi finals of the Scottish Cup as well. Thus, it is hard to see the manager leaving at this stage of the season.

At the same time though, it is important to recognise that Postecoglou is in his late 50s and does not have a lot of time on his hands to achieve his managerial goals. Thus, if a club like Tottenham Hotspur did come calling in the off-season, he would be expected to consider the offer.
