Celtic have brought in a number of very talented players over the course of the past four transfer windows. Several have made their mark at Parkhead, with the three trophies won under the management of Ange Postecoglou providing proof of that. It also means though that they have caught the attention of clubs abroad.
Quite a few Celtic players have been linked with moves away from Parkhead in the upcoming summer transfer window. And surely the club will be hoping to hold on to most of them.
One player who seems to be keen on a move away from Celtic though is Liel Abada. The Israeli international was brought in in the summer of 2021, from Maccabi Petah Tikva. And this season, he has been mostly used as an impact substitute, with starts harder to come by. That has not stopped the 21-year-old from being linked with a move to the Premier League though.
As reported by the Daily Record, Avi Luzon told One Sport:
"“I believe he will be sold in the summer to the Premier League. There were talks already in the last window, but he didn’t want to be sold.“They offered him a contract extension and I know he didn’t agree, because he wants to be sold. I don’t know the names of teams, but there are offers and I believe at a probability level of over 90% that he will move to the Premier League in the summer.“I hope that he will continue to score goals until the end of the season and then he will be sold for sure.”"
Key Celtic player wants to leave the club in the summer
Abada has been a very impactful player for Celtic. His numbers as a winger are outstanding and it is clear that he has the natural ability to make something happen in the final third of the pitch.
The issue that Abada faces at Celtic though is that he has the likes of Jota and Daizen Maeda ahead of him in the pecking order at Parkhead right now. And a lot of great players would struggle to get into the team ahead of those two.
As a result, he has struggled to get starts this season for the most part, although he has been regularly used as a substitute. In those circumstances, it is not hard to see why he might be interested in a move away, especially if Premier League clubs come calling in the summer.
