Celtic player proves critics wrong in win vs Hibernian
Celtic will go into the international break with their nine-point lead at the top of the table in tact. That is a huge result for Ange Postecoglou’s side to say the least, as for a long time, it had looked like they were going to drop points against Hibernian at Parkhead, despite the visitors getting a man sent off in the 24th minute of the game.
Hibernian would take an unlikely lead into the break though, with Josh Campbell scoring from the spot. Jota would equalise from a penalty soon after half-time to make it 1-1.
But then, it looked like was not going to be Celtic’s day. Despite a plethora of shots, the Hoops simple were not able to find a second. That is before Oh Hyeon-gyu stepped up to the plate and delivered when the Hoops needed him the most.
Oh showed his strength in the box to rise above everybody else to head the ball into the back of the net and make it 2-1 to Celtic. He was shown a yellow card for taking his shirt off while celebrating but nobody would have cared one bit. It was a huge goal for the Hoops in the context of the title race.

Oh has already received quite a bit of criticism since arriving in January from Suwon Samsung Bluewings. And to be honest, some of the South Korean striker’s displays have not been great.
But it is important to remember that he is 21 years of age, getting his first taste of football in Europe. Some growing pains are expected.
What Oh has shown is that he can be counted upon when the situation calls for it. Will this be viewed as the game when the South Korean striker well and truly arrived? Who knows. Sead Haksabanovic grabbed a late one to make it 3-1 and put the match beyond Hibernian.
