Celtic proved their never give up attitude once again with their 3-1 win over Hibernian at Parkhead. For a long while, it had looked like the game was headed for a draw. But Oh Hyeon-gyu proved his worth to this team late on, by scoring from a header to make it 2-1. Sead Haksabanovic would grab a late goal as well to put the match beyond the grasp of Lee Johnson’s side.

It was a big result for Celtic to say the least. It makes sure that they remain nine points ahead of the Rangers in the Premiership title race, with nine more league games left to play this season.

Thus, with every passing match week, the mountain becomes a bit higher for Michael Beale’s side. On the other hand, Celtic were handed a worry in the game against Hibernian as well though, as Reo Hatate was forced off the pitch in the 13th minute.

Hatate is a very important part of this team and his absence was one of the big reasons why Celtic struggled to build up any sort of rhythm against Hibernian. Fans will be hoping that the issue is nothing serious and he is back after the international break.

Celtic boss gives latest injury update on Hatate

As reported by Football Scotland, Ange Postecoglou told BBC Sportsound:

"“I haven’t spoken to the medical team yet. Hopefully having a couple of weeks with no games will help. Disappointing to lose him early because he’s been a big part of what we do.”"

Hatate has been very important to Celtic this season. As a result, him picking up an injury, heading into the business end of the campaign, is a big worry for Postecoglou’s side.

The positive thing for Celtic is that there are a few weeks off due to the international break. Hopefully, the Japanese midfielder will be able to recover during that period of time. If not, it would be very interesting to see how Postecoglou would line his team up in the absence of Hatate.
