Celtic are set to take on Hibernian at Parkhead this weekend and it is a vital game without doubt. This is the last game before the international break, and if they win, they are guaranteed to go into it with a nine-point lead with just nine league games left to be played. That would be huge to say the least. And there is the possibility that the Rangers could drop points and further widen the gap.

Michael Beale’s side will travel, to take on Motherwell at Fir Park. Now, they have been in great form as well and have to be considered as the favourites. But anything can happen in football.

It looks like the Rangers have an injury sweat heading into the game against Motherwell. The status of their January signing, Nicolas Raskin, is uncertain after he picked up an issue recently.

The Belgian midfielder has been hyped up a lot by the Rangers support since his arrival in January. As a result, if he does miss the game against Motherwell, it would have to be considered a blow for them. As reported by the Glasgow Times, Beale said:

"“Nico has a slight issue, he missed training [on Thursday]. Other than that, Malik has had another week Souts has had another week.“We’ll have to leave a couple out. With Nico we’ll see how he is [on Friday].“He had a bit of an issue with his quad after the game the other day, but we don’t think it is anything major.“It is touch and go [for the weekend].”"

It remains to be seen if Raskin features this weekend or not. But Celtic cannot afford to have their eyes towards Ibrox.

They have an important game against Hibernian themselves. The last time the two teams met at Parkhead, it was a one-sided contest. But Lee Johnson’s side have improved a lot since then. This year, the only teams who have defeated them are Hearts and the Rangers.

Thus, Celtic cannot take Hibernian lightly. On their day, they have the ability to pull off an unlikely upset. So, the Bhoys must bring their A-game at the weekend and will hopefully seal all three points.
