Scott Brown had a legendary career at Celtic. He saw a number of great players come through the Parkhead door and enjoyed a lot of success with them on the pitch. It has been a couple of years since Broony departed the club though. And currently, he finds himself managing Fleetwood Town in English League One.

He has made a bright start to life in management as well and has already made some Fleetwood Town history with their run in the FA Cup this season. On the other hand, Celtic have a tremendous manager on their hands in Ange Postecoglou.

Appointing Postecoglou has proven to be a masterstroke on the part of the club. He has completely transformed a team that had finished trophyless and 25 points behind the Rangers. Under the management of the Australian, the Hoops have already won three trophies and there could be more to come soon.

The club have signed a number of brilliant players during this period of time as well. And it looks like there is one in particular that Brown would have liked to play alongside.

Brown makes sensational claim about Celtic player

Brown was asked during a Q&A session on Celtic’s Twitter about which player he wished he would have been able to play alongside and Broony said:

"“Probably Reo Hatate. He’s got great energy in the middle of the park and he looks like he’s got great drive.”"

Hatate was signed by Celtic in January of 2022 from Kawasaki Frontale. And the Japanese star has certainly made his presence felt at Parkhead since then.

He has been successful in establishing himself as a nailed on starter in Postecoglou’s side and is an undroppable right now.

Of course, Broony will know quite a bit when it comes to midfielders with energy and drive in the middle of the park. A midfield of Hatate and Brown would have been unstoppable if both were in their primes.
