Scott Brown is a Celtic icon. The legendary club captain enjoyed immense success during his time at Parkhead, most of them with the skipper’s armband. It is actually hard to imagine that it has already been a couple of seasons since Broony has left the club. And since then, he has taken the next step in his career.

Brown would leave Celtic after the disaster that was the 2020/21 campaign. To be very honest, he deserved a much better ending to his storied career at Parkhead than the one he got. Broony left after a trophyless season and in front of an empty stadium.

He would go on to join Aberdeen in a player-coach role, which was not a success for him and he was gone before the season was even over. Ultimately, hanging up his boots and has since moved into management.

Brown is currently managing English League One side Fleetwood Town. There he has shown quite a bit of promise as a manager, especially in their historic run in the FA Cup.

When asked on Twitter about who is the toughest opponent that he has faced in his career, Brown picked Iniesta and said about the Spaniard:

"“Iniesta. He was always looking to turn and drive forward and cause problems, and he did!”"

Of course, Brown came up against a lot of great players during his time at Celtic Park but it looks like it was Iniesta who gave him the most issues. And it is not hard to see why, having witnessed the Spaniard play. He is without doubt one of the best to ever do it.

It has been quite a while since Iniesta left Barcelona as well. But interestingly, he continues to play to this day, at J League side, Vissel Kobe. He was a teammate of a certain Kyogo Furuhashi there, before he made the move to Celtic.
