Ange Postecoglou will get the chance to draw over the only blemish on his Celtic record till now, when they meet the Rangers in the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden Park. Of course, the two teams had met at the same stage last season as well, and on that occasion, the Hoops had come short against their Glasgow rivals, ending their treble hopes in the process.

A year later, it remains to be seen if Celtic are able to get the job done and make it to the Scottish Cup final this time around. The match between the two Glasgow giants will be played on April 29 or 30, so it is quite some time away.

In the other semi-final, Inverness CT have been drawn against Falkirk. Thus, whichever of Celtic or the Rangers goes through, will have to be considered as heavy favourites in the Scottish Cup final.

Of course winning every Glasgow Derby is extremely important in itself. And it looks like the anticipation and controversy around the match, has already begun.

Rangers slammed for petty Celtic match announcement

Some fans noticed that the Rangers had removed the colour green from Celtic’s logo in the graphic announcing the Scottish Cup semi-finals between the two teams. And they were called out on Twitter for it:

Of course, many will remember that the Rangers did not have the word β€˜Celtic’ around their crest for the Scottish League Cup final last month. And this time around, they have taken the green out of the Hoops’ badge.

None of this will matter when the two teams take to the Hampden Park pitch again though. And Celtic cannot afford to make the mistake of taking the opposition lightly at all, despite getting the better of them last time around. But Postecoglou and his Bhoys will know that very well.
