Celtic have a stacked roster at this point of time. They have relentlessly added to their ranks in the four transfer windows under the management of Ange Postecoglou and reaped the rewards on the pitch, already winning three trophies during the time of the Australian. But at the same time, it also means that there are quite a few players who struggle to get into the team, with the high competition for places.

The only options are to either send these players out on loan, or let them leave on a permanent transfer. Because sitting on the bench at Parkhead will not do them or their development any good.

One such player who headed out on loan recently is Yosuke Ideguchi. The midfielder headed back to Japan, joining J League club Avispa Fukuoka for a year. Unfortunately, his time there has gotten off to the worst possible start.

Ideguchi has suffered a serious injury while out on loan. As reported by 67 Hail Hail, Avispa Fukuoka confirmed in a statement today that he has broken his ankle and will be out for three months.

It is safe to say that Ideguchi has had terrible luck ever since joining Celtic. He had suffered a couple of injuries while with the Hoops. And now, he has suffered one while out on loan as well.

The move for Ideguchi was always considered to be a risky one. He was brought in based on his potential, rather than what he was showing on the pitch at that point of time.

It would be safe to say that the risk has not paid off because Ideguchi barely featured at Celtic, before leaving out on loan. And it remains to be seen how things turn out for him there. The start has been terrible though.
