It was not too long ago that Brighton & Hove Albion were linked with a potential move to bring in Ange Postecoglou as their manager, after Graham Potter left for Chelsea. Fortunately, that did not happen and the Australian has continued to enjoy success at Parkhead. But now, it looks like the Premier League club have moved their sights towards one of Celtic’s players.

Celtic have already won three trophies during the time of Postecoglou as manager and there could be more to follow. Thus, fans cannot have too many complaints about what they are seeing on the pitch.

But, one issue that many have raised in recent years is the fact that the club’s youth stars have not been able to break into the senior team. The only starter right now who came through the ranks at Parkhead is Callum McGregor.

One of the biggest reasons behind that has been the fact that clubs from abroad swoop in before many of the youngsters are even able to make their presence felt at Celtic. And it looks like Brighton & Hove Albion have their eyes on one such player.

As reported by Football Insider, Brighton & Hove Albion are interested in signing Celtic youngster Ronan Ferns. The centre-back is highly regarded at Parkhead. The Seagulls are keeping very close tabs on him going into the summer.

Of course, it would be a blow for Celtic if a talent like Ferns left. Many believe that he is good enough to make his mark on the senior team one day.

Celtic have several other top talents in their youth ranks these days as well like Rocco Vata, Bosun Lawal, Joey Dawson and more. Hopefully they will get a chance to show what they are capable of at the senior level.
