Celtic eased into the semi-final of the Scottish Cup with a 3-0 win over Hearts away at Tynecastle Park. Aaron Mooy put the Hoops in front in the second minute of the match. Kyogo Furuhashi got his name on the scoresheet just before the break to make it 2-0 to the visitors, while Cameron Carter-Vickers’ goal put the game to bed.

Celtic have already won the Scottish League Cup and are looking strong in their pursuit of retaining the league title, leading the Rangers by nine points with ten games left to be played. Thus, the victory on the weekend has boosted the morale of the Parkhead faithful.

As Celtic continue to chase the treble, winning both the Scottish Cup and the Premiership remains a firm possibility for Ange Postecoglou’s team. They must continue to perform at the level that they have been doing all season.

Under the management of Postecoglou, a plethora of players have rediscovered their finest form. The scorer of the opener against Hearts, Mooy is enjoying an excellent spell at Celtic Park.

Mooy makes brilliant claim about Celtic treble

As reported by Football Scotland, speaking about the potential treble for Celtic, Mooy said:

"“It’d be amazing to win all three trophies, obviously. But we’re just taking it one game at a time, we can’t look too far ahead. We want to do it, we want to win every game we play in.”"

That would be the right way to approach it as well. The club cannot afford to look too far ahead, because that would increase the risk of slipping up. They have ten league games left to be played and are in the Scottish Cup semis. The focus must be on winning as many of those as possible.

As for Mooy, after his spell in China, he joined the Celtic last summer. A lot of eyebrows had been raised back then, as many fans doubted whether he would improve the team or make enough of an impact. Slowly but surely, the Australian has proven the critics wrong and established himself in the starting XI.
