Celtic have been brilliant in the transfer market during the time of Ange Postecoglou as manager. It has been one of their biggest strengths and helped them re-establish themselves as the best team in Scotland within a short span of time, when the rebuild was originally expected to take at least two, three years.

The club have been successful in bringing in key players like Kyogo, Jota, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Reo Hatate, Carl Starfelt, Matt O,Riley and several others, over the past 20 months or so. It has been a squad overhaul to say the least and a very successful one at that.

Celtic have reaped the rewards for their relentless pursuit to improve on the pitch. Postecoglou has already added three trophies to the cabinet during his time as manager of the club, and more could be on the way. Not bad for someone who was expected to be gone by Christmas.

It looks like the club do not have any plans to stop improving the squad either. In fact, they already seem to have big plans in place for the summer transfer window.

Sensational Celtic transfer news for next summer emerges

As reported by Football Insider, Celtic are planning to make three headline signings in the upcoming summer transfer window. It looks like Postecoglou is targeting a new centre-back, central midfielder and striker.

That is an interesting list to be honest. And one has to wonder whether it is based on players who could be on their way out in the summer, because as things stand, Celtic are well equipped in defence and midfield, although another option up front would not hurt them.

Let’s see what the future holds. It is good to see Postecoglou already making plans for the summer though. That points towards him staying at Celtic despite all the rumours of an exit.
