Celtic manager, Ange Postecoglou, has already been linked with the likes of Everton, Brighton & Hove Albion, Wolves, Southampton, and a few others. Till now, he has stayed put at Parkhead though and continued to guide them towards silverware. But now, it looks like one of the giants of English football have an eye on the Australian as well.

Postecoglou has done a remarkable job since arriving at Celtic Park, taking a team that was in disarray and turning them back into the best in Scotland that very season, against all odds and expectations. Thus, it is not hard to understand why there is so much interest in his signature.

As reported by The Telegraph (via The Scotsman), it is “inevitable” that Antonio Conte will depart Tottenham Hotspur. Daniel Levy is set to consider a shortlist of possible contenders to become their new manager. Celtic boss Postecoglou features on such a list.

Other top names like Luis Enrique and Mauricio Pochettino are on that list as well. That just goes on to show how much Postecoglou has boosted his reputation since becoming the manager of Celtic. Once upon a time, not too long ago, it had looked like he was never even going to get a chance to manage in Europe.

Celtic fans will be hoping that Postecoglou remains at the club for as long as possible. He is a hugely popular figure and is doing a great job.

But at the same time, if a club the calibre of Tottenham Hotspur come calling, Postecoglou would be expected to at least consider the chance.

At the end of the day, Postecoglou is in his late 50s and does not have the whole world of time on his hands to complete his targets as a manager. The only thing that Celtic fans would ask for is that even if he leaves, he does so in the off-season.
