Celtic have done a wonderful job when it comes to discover players and turning them into household names at Parkhead, during the time of Ange Postecoglou as manager. And the fact that they have done it all so quickly is even more impressive. People have not come in and taken a year or two to adjust to the Scottish league. They have been instrumental from the get go.

That is one of the biggest reason why the club won a Premiership and League Cup double last season. And they are in a good position to match, or perhaps even better that, in the ongoing campaign.

Thus, it should come as no surprise that players are being linked with moves away from the club. And there have been suggestions that Premier League teams are interested in Cameron Carter-Vickers, who has been a rock at the back for the Hoops.

Frank McAvennie believes though that Carter-Vickers will remain at Parkhead beyond this campaign. As reported by Football Insider, he said:

"“He is not going anywhere.“I think he is enjoying himself. He has had his time down there. He will have learned so much at Celtic and I think if he goes back down he will be a better player.”"

Carter-Vickers spent several years at Tottenham Hotspur and spent many spells out on loan, in the English Championship. But he was never able to establish himself at the London club.

Celtic brought him in on loan on the transfer deadline day of the 2021 summer window. And the move proved to be an absolute masterstroke on the part of the Hoops.

Carte-Vickers was brilliant during his debut campaign with the Hoops and played a key part in their double. So much so that the club ended up signing him on a permanent basis from Tottenham Hotspur in the following summer transfer window.

Having signed a long-term deal with Celtic at that point of time, the club will be in no hurry to let the American defender leave anytime soon.
