Ange Postecoglou certainly has a way with words and he is not afraid to use them. That is one of the reasons why the Celtic manager has been so successful in building up a connection with a fan base, who he was pretty much an unknown to when he arrived around 20 months ago. Of course, the success on the pitch has helped as well.

Celtic’s Scottish League Cup win, with a 2-1 victory over the Rangers in the final, was the third trophy that Postecoglou has guided the team to since arriving in Glasgow. And one would be hoping that there are many more to come in the future.

The biggest worry that most Celtic fans have at the moment, is regarding the future of Postecoglou. The Australian has done a brilliant job at Parkhead and is unsurprisingly being linked with one job after another in recent times.

Postecoglou does not seem to be in any hurry to leave though. And as reported by The Scotsman, he said while discussing his future:

"“I am going into my third year next year and I am going to keep doing what I am doing and not really worry about what other people see. Because I’ll tell you what the first thing that will be said – and one of you [in the media] will be the first ones to do it – is I am not ambitious enough because I am not moving on.”"

If there was ever a spot on comment then this is it. The media will surely be the first to question Postecoglou’s ambition, if he stays on at Celtic for long.

At the same time, it looks like Postecoglou is not giving much thought to what is being said about him in the media and is concentrating on the job at hand. And that is to guide Celtic to wins in football matches.

It must be said that he is doing a fine job at it as well. He has already won three trophies on Scottish soil. The Hoops are also leading the Premiership by nine points and are in the Scottish Cup quarter finals, where they will take on Hearts at Tynecastle Park.
