As we head towards the League Cup final between Celtic and the Rangers, some of Fashion Sakala’s recent comments about the Hoops has created quite a bit of controversy in the Scottish football circles. It is safe to say that a lot of noise has been coming out of Ibrox over the past couple of days. Let’s see how things will turn out on Sunday, when the two teams take to the Hampden Park pitch.
For the Celtic players, part of the job is to cancel out all of the noise and focus completely on the job at hand. Emotions might be running high amongst the fans of the clubs.
But there is no room for that amongst the players. That creates further room for error and bad decision making. The Bhoys must treat this game as they would against any other opposition.
But that does not mean that those outside of the game will remain quiet as well. And Chris Sutton had a perfect reply to some of Sakala’s recent comments about Celtic. As reported by 67 Hail Hail, he said on BT Sport:
"“Do you think he’s got into the Celtic player’s heads? I’m sure there’s panic within the Celtic dressing room.“Callum McGregor and Kyogo, they’ll be quaking in their boots saying ‘Wow, he called us the other mob, we’re outraged, let’s take our eyes off the ball guys.’”"

It is safe to say that this is expected to be a close game of football between the two best teams in Scotland right now. Their form has been pretty close since the arrival of Michael Beale as manager.
It remains to be seen though how the Rangers will perform when the pressure is on. We know that this Celtic team can win titles, cause they have done so in the past. Can the Ibrox side?
We will find out. Celtic must prepare for the best version of the Rangers though and take their A-game to Hampden Park for the Scottish League Cup final. The rest will take care of itself.
