Celtic have done a wonderful job in rebuilding their squad during the time of Ange Postecoglou as manager. They have relentlessly added to their ranks over the course of the past four transfer windows. As a result, a roster that had seemed paper thin back in 2021, now looks stacked across all areas just 18 months later.
That is impressive to say the least. And Celtic have reaped the benefits on the pitch. They won the Premiership and League Cup double last season. And they are still competing in all three domestic competitions this time around.
At the same time though, one complaint that a lot of fans have had about the club in recent years is their inability to bring through their highly-rated youth stars into the senior team. One reason behind that is the fact that teams from around Europe have swooped in and signed them before they can break into Celtic’s first-team picture.
As reported by Football Insider, Leeds United and Aston Villa are plotting a move for Celtic teenage sensation Aidan Borland. He is regarded as one of the best young prospects to emerge from the club’s academy in recent years.

Borland is still just 15 years of age and plays in midfield. And it looks like he has been impressive enough to catch the eye of clubs down south already.
Unfortunately for Celtic, this is a familiar story. A number of their most highly rated youngsters have left for clubs abroad, before ever getting a chance to show what they are capable of in the Hoops.
On the other hand, the club still have some impressive youngsters on their hands in the form of Bosun Lawal, Joey Dawson, Rocco Vata and others. They must make sure that these players get a chance to prove themselves.
