Ange Postecoglou has done a great job as Celtic manager since arriving in the summer of 2021. Unsurprisingly, that has led to him being linked with a move away from Parkhead, with a number of Premier League clubs appearing to keep an eye on him. He has already been linked with clubs like Everton, Brighton & Hove Albion, Wolves, Southampton and Leeds United.

For the time being, Postecoglou has stayed put at Celtic and seems to be completely focussed on the task at hand. A future exit cannot be ruled out though, especially if he continues to achieve success at Parkhead.

Celtic won the Premiership and League Cup double last season under the management of Postecoglou. And this time around, they are still in contention for all three domestic trophies. Can the Australian manager lead the Hoops to a treble?

Time shall tell. On the other hand, questions about his future refuse to go away. And as reported by Fox Sports, veteran Melbourne sports host Andy Maher said on SEN’s The Run Home:

"“I’ve got a snout who’s quite hooked into Australian soccer. He’s given me a steer here and there and on enough occasions he’s been right.“Gives me a call this morning adamant that this will be Ange Postecoglou’s last year at Celtic, and he will be leaving at the end of the year. And that he will be, it depends on survival in the Premier League, he will be taking one of two positions.“But predominantly and most likely it will be the position at Leeds.“Peter Lowy, son of Frank, bought into Leeds (in late 2021). One of his assistant coaches at Celtic is Harry Kewell, of course a celebrated Leeds player.“Huge club, massive upside, struggling to hold onto their position in the Premier League. The temptation of being the manager to restore Leeds to Champions League-type contention and top-four, top-six status in the Premier League would be appealing to anyone.“This snout is telling me, watch this space, at the end of the season – it’s going to happen.”"

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Postecoglou at Celtic Park. He is absolutely adored by the fans, who will be hoping that he remains at Parkhead for as long as possible.

At the same time though, he is in his late 50s and does not have the world of time on his hands, if he wants to challenge himself at the Premier League level.

On paper, joining a club like Leeds United would make sense, if they are able to stay up in the Premier League. They might be going through a bit of a struggle right now, but they are without doubt one of the biggest teams in English football.

Postecoglou is unlikely to be appointed as the manager of one of the big six. So that would be a good level for him to enter England.

At the same time, it is not the safest of jobs. Over the past twelve months, we have seen Leeds United show the exit door to both Marcelo Bielsa and Jesse Marsch.
