Celtic will look to continue their march towards the Premiership title as they welcome Aberdeen to Parkhead. It has been a time of change for the Dons recently, as they showed Jim Goodwin the exit door after a string of bad results. Barry Robson is serving as their caretaker manager and guided them to a 3-1 win over Motherwell in their last match.

Thus, Celtic cannot afford to make the mistake of taking Aberdeen lightly, despite some of the defeats that they have suffered in recent times. Hopefully, Ange Postecoglou’s side will take their A-game and focus on the task at hand, rather than having an eye on the Scottish League Cup final coming up against the Rangers.

With that game in mind, it will be important that Celtic players do not pick up any injuries in the game against Aberdeen. One player is set to miss the match as a result of one he suffered against St Mirren last weekend though.

David Turnbull will not feature for Celtic against Aberdeen. As reported by BBC, Postecoglou said:

"“David Turnbull got a bit of knock in the game last week, so he’ll miss tomorrow and that’s it.”"

It does not sound like a major issue, which is great news. Hopefully, Turnbull will be back available for the League Cup final against the Rangers.

He has done a great job at coming off the bench and making an impact. He has scored a few goals in that manner in recent times. That is a great option to have around for sure.

His recent performances saw Turnbull get a rare start in the match against St Mirren, but he failed to impress and faced quite a bit of criticism for his display on the day. Perhaps the knock that he picked up on the day could have had an impact on his display. Whatever maybe the case, we can only wish him the best of luck and hope he recovers as soon as possible.
