Celtic have tremendous depth in their squad at the moment. Thus, it is only natural that some players are not getting the game time that they would have been hoping for. We have already seen Scott Robertson leave for Fleetwood Town. On the other hand, the loan spells of Moritz Jenz and Oliver Abildgaard were cut short as well.
There are several other players at the club right now though, who do not seem to be a big part of Ange Postecoglou’s plans. Thus, it would not be a surprise to see them leaving in the not too distant future as well.
Goalkeeper is a position where Celtic have plenty of options right now. Joe Hart is the nailed on starter there, and has done a good job since arriving in the summer of 2021 from Tottenham Hotspur, both as a player and as a leader. The club also have Benjamin Siegrist and Scott Bain as cover. And looking towards the future, they have two very highly rated youngsters in their ranks in the form of Tobi Oluwayemi, currently on loan at Cork City, and Josh Clarke.
Amidst all this Conor Hazard has gotten lost in the mix though. And it looks like his Parkhead exit might not be far away.
Celtic player is looking for new club after lack of first-team chances
As reported by Football Insider, Hazard is on the lookout for a new club after failing to win over Postecoglou since his return from a successful loan spell.
Hazard spent the previous year out on loan at HJK Helsinki. And he did a great job there as well, but that has not gotten him playing time at Parkhead.
Hazard has not gotten enough chances at Celtic through his career. But interestingly, he does have a pretty good record with the Hoops. According to stats from Transfermarkt, Hazard has made 8 appearances for the club, keeping 5 clean sheets and conceding 6 goals.
