Celtic have been on a brilliant run of form, which has seen them lead the Premiership by nine points, reach the final of the League Cup and Ange Postecoglou’s side are also in the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup. They have set themselves up for a successful season. Now though, it is about finishing it strong and bringing home silverware.
When everybody is fit and on form, the Hoops look almost unstoppable and are without doubt the best team in Scotland. One can only hope that they are able to remain injury-free from now until the end of the campaign.
There was a major worry from their game against St Mirren though, as Kyogo Furuhashi appeared to pick up a shoulder injury. He had to be substituted off inside the first 15 minutes.
Ange Postecoglou did not sound too concerned after the match but the seriousness of the issue is still unclear. As reported by The Scottish Sun, Kyogo didn’t train yesterday. But it is understood that the Japanese star is feeling positive after the injury settled down over the last two days. He’ll discover more about the matter in the next 24 hours as he undergoes a full scan.
Celtic star has missed training after latest injury
One can only hope that the injury is nothing serious. Kyogo has been Celtic’s star man once again this season.
After a slow start to the campaign, he has rediscovered his touch in front of goal after the World Cup break. According to stats from Transfermarkt, Kyogo has scored 22 goals and provided 4 assists in 33 appearances this season.
Thus, Celtic will need Kyogo in their starting XI, if they are to be at their best in the business end of the season. The good news is that the last time he had suffered a similar injury, he had recovered pretty quickly from it.
