Celtic have incredible depth in their squad at this point of time, having added to their ranks relentlessly over the past four transfer windows, since the arrival of Ange Postecoglou as manager. Their ambition has been rewarded as well. The Hoops are leading the league title race by nine points, have booked their place in the League Cup final where they will take on the Rangers and are still in the Scottish Cup as well.
So there is a possibility that they could match or potentially even surpass their achievements from last season, when they won the Premiership and League Cup double. Of course, so much depth also means though that some players are struggling to break into the first-team.
One big complaint that a lot of fans have had about Celtic in recent years is the fact that they have struggled to bring through their youth stars into the first-team at Parkhead. And one such highly rated youngster might benefit from a spell out on loan.
Bosun Lawal has been very highly rated for his entire time at Celtic. Now 19 years of age, and set to turn 20 in May, he has still only made just one senior appearance for the club though, a blink-and-you-will-miss cameo off the bench.
Celtic player must leave on loan as soon as possible
Lawal has been a standout at the Celtic B level, but he simply has not gotten the chance to show what he is capable of doing in the senior game. And he might not be able to get those opportunities ahead of so many others.
Thus, a loan spell at another club, where he will get the chance to play some regular football, might be the best step forward for everyone. And if Lawal impresses, Celtic should start integrating him into the senior team from next season.
Otherwise, his current deal runs till the summer of 2024. And after that, he could very possibly leave the club, having never really gotten a proper chance in the senior team.
