Celtic fans will be happy with the result against St Mirren, as the Hoops got themselves another important win, as they continue their march towards a second straight league title and a potential treble. But that does not mean that it was a day filled with positives for Ange Postecoglou’s side, as they were handed a couple of worries.

The biggest problem coming out of the game will surely be the injury that Kyogo Furuhashi picked up early on. The Japanese star has been in stunning form lately, but he was forced off the pitch in the first half itself. The fans will be hoping that it is not a serious issue and he is able to return to the pitch soon.

On the other hand, the performance of David Turnbull on the day came as a major disappointment as well. The Scottish midfielder was handed a rare start.

He had scored after coming off the bench in recent games and had certainly earned this start. But the performance vs St Mirren was not good at all, and might see him return to a role off the bench for quite a while.

Overall, Celtic must be very happy with a 5-1 win over St Mirren, with four different goalscorers. Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate, Oh Hyeon-gyu and Matt O’Riley, all found the back of the net for the Hoops.

All eyes will turn towards the status of Kyogo after the match though and hopefully, it is not a serious problem and he is fit enough to feature in the Scottish League Cup final against the Rangers. In many ways, that does feel similar to last season.

Last season, Kyogo had picked up an injury before the League Cup final as well. But he returned in time to score twice against Hibernian and win the trophy.
