Celtic fans will be hoping that Ange Postecoglou remains at Parkhead for as long as possible. There is very little doubt about that. The Australian has overdelivered since becoming the manager of the club. Nobody expected him to guide the Hoops to a Premiership and League Cup double last season. And this time around, they are in a strong position as well, and there is a possibility that they could have an even better campaign.

Unsurprisingly, Postecoglou’s performances since becoming Celtic manager has caught the eyes of clubs down South.

Not too long ago, there were major doubts whether he would ever get the chance to manage a top flight club in Europe. But now, it looks like several Premier League teams would consider making Postecoglou their manager.

After being linked with the likes of Brighton & Hove Albion, Wolves and Everton earlier on in the season, it is now Leeds United who are being rumoured as a possible destination for Postecoglou. But there is some good news for Celtic fans in that regard.

Latest Postecoglou to Leeds United news will interest Celtic

As reported by the Daily Record, as of late Tuesday afternoon, Celtic had received no contact from the Leeds United board, asking for permission to open talks with Postecoglou.

It looks like there is a confidence that Postecoglou would stay at Celtic, even if Leeds United did end up making an approach. And to be honest, the Elland Road job just does not look like the right fit for him.

They are in search of their third manager in the space of the last twelve months, and have been in relegation struggles for two straight seasons.

If Postecoglou does want to go to the Premier League some day, one would expect that there would be better opportunities available for him, even though Leeds United are a big club for sure.
