Celtic find themselves in the middle of some unwanted media attention right now, as Ange Postecoglou has been heavily linked with a move to Leeds United over the past few days. The Premier League club decided to part ways with Jesse Marsch recently, as they look to avoid relegation and rumours have suggested that the Australian manager is one of the names on their shortlist.

If that was indeed the case then it would not be a major surprise to be very honest, when you look at what Postecoglou has been able to achieve during his time as the manager of Celtic.

He guided the club to a Premiership and League Cup double last season, and this time around, they are in a pretty good position to potentially repeat, or perhaps even surpass that.

Would Postecoglou be open to leaving Celtic in the middle of the season in order to take over the Leeds United job? That is the question that has been doing the rounds over the past couple of days. Mark Schwarzer does not appear to believe so. As reported by The West Australian, he told Sky Sports:

"“I think Postecoglou would be an exceptional fit. But do I think he is going to leave Celtic and go to Leeds right now at this moment of time? I don’t think so.“Not that I have spoken to him – I am completely speculating here – but I don’t think personally he would leave Celtic, if he were going to leave at all, at this particular moment in time.“His relationship, his rapport with the club, with the fans is too important to him.“Also I think the job he is doing at Celtic is phenomenal. If anything, it’s a little bit underrated how good a job he is doing, considering where Celtic were and how far they were behind Rangers only two seasons ago and where they are right now, clearly the best side in Scotland.“If Ange is ever going to leave the club it will be during an off-season, it will be done amicably, it will be done in the right manner, because that’s how he does business.”"

Schwarzer makes sensational Celtic and Postecoglou claim amid rumours linking the manager with Leeds United

It is safe to say that that is exactly what the Celtic fans would like to hear, amidst all the rumours and speculation over the last few days.

It has never felt like Postecoglou is someone who would look to leave the club in the middle of the season, even if the opportunity presented itself.

It is quite clear that the Australian shares a special bond with the Celtic fans and seems to appreciate being the manager of the club a lot. Of course, anything can happen in football. But one would expect Postecoglou to remain in the Parkhead hot seat for the time being.
