Celtic fans will be keeping an eye on news surrounding the managerial situation at Leeds United, as Ange Postecoglou is rumoured to be a potential candidate to be their next manager. The Premier League club parted ways with Jesse Marsch recently and are in search of their third head coach in the space of just twelve months.

Postecoglou has done an incredible job at Celtic since arriving in the summer of 2021 and it is not hard to see why clubs down south would be interested in bringing him in.

One of the most remarkable things that Postecoglou has done at Celtic is turn things around in a very short span of time. They had finished 25 points behind the Rangers and trophyless the season before he arrived, and the squad had to undergo a major overhaul as well, with several key starters leaving.

Something like that would be attractive to clubs, who are hoping to turn their fortunes around. But the latest update surrounding the Leeds United managerial vacancy is very positive for Celtic.

Latest Leeds United update is great news for Celtic and Postecoglou’s future at Parkhead

As reported by The Yorkshire Post, Dutch manager Arne Slot has emerged as the bookmakers’ favourite to replace Marsch as Leeds United boss.

Slot is currently the manager of Feyenoord, who are leading the Dutch league. And it is safe to say that he is a brilliant coach for sure.

Thus, Slot is certainly someone that could raise the interest of Leeds United. Whether he would be willing to leave a title race in order to try and save the Premier League club from relegation remains to be seen.

It would not matter to Celtic though, as long as Postecoglou remains at Parkhead for the foreseeable future. One would hope that the Australian decides to stay even if Leeds United come knocking.
