Celtic fans must be a bit worried with the recent rumours linking Ange Postecoglou with a move to Leeds United. The Premier League club recently showed Jesse Marsch the exit door, and are now searching for their third manager in the course of the past twelve months. And the Australian is believed to be one of the names on their shortlist.

Of course, Postecoglou being linked with a move to the Premier League is nothing new anymore. He had been linked with teams like Brighton & Hove Albion, Wolves and Everton as well, when the managerial hot seat was vacant at those clubs.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Postecoglou, but Celtic would surely be hoping to keep hold of their manager for the foreseeable future. And the club seem to be ready to take a big step in that direction.

As reported by Football Insider, Celtic are keen to hand their manager a longer-term deal that could potentially include a release clause. Postecoglou is on a rolling one-year contract.

With how well Postecoglou has done at Celtic, there is a feeling of inevitability about him ending up in the Premier League at some point.

Leeds United just does not seem like the right team for him though. There has not been much stability at the club recently. It was just last year that they showed Marcelo Bielsa the exit door. And now, Marsch is gone as well. Also, they are pretty much in the middle of a relegation struggle. It was the same case last season as well.

If Postecoglou really wants to test himself in the Premier League, then one would expect better opportunities to be available in the future. Right now, he can concentrate on adding to his trophy cabinet.
