Ange Postecoglou has built up quite a reputation for himself during his time as the manager of Celtic. He had enjoyed a lot of success in Australia and Japan before this, but it was not until late into his career that he got a chance in European football. And even then, he was pretty much an unknown for most fans when he arrived.

It is safe to say that Postecoglou is no longer an unknown. Not even close. He guided Celtic to a Premiership and League Cup double against all odds and expectations last season.

And this time around, the Hoops are leading the league title race by nine points with 13 games left to be played. They have already booked their place in the Scottish League Cup final as well, where they will take on the Rangers.

That kind of success has without doubt caught the eye of clubs down south and he has been linked with several teams already. And it looks like the rumours are not going to go away anytime soon. As reported by Glasgow Times, Postecoglou has been listed among the frontrunners for the Leeds United job by oddsmakers.

It is just recently that Leeds United showed Jesse Marsch, someone who had interestingly been linked with Celtic before Postecoglou was appointed, the exit door.

Marsch might have helped save Leeds United from relegation last time around, but they are very much in the running for the drop once again this season and sit at 17th in the Premier League table.

While Postecoglou is being linked with The Peacocks, it does feel unlikely for him to leave Celtic in order to try and keep up Leeds United. The club have struggled for a couple of years now, and showed Marcelo Bielsa the exit door last season.

Of course, you can never say never in football. But it does feel like Postecoglou will remain at Celtic for the time being.
