Ange Postecoglou makes sensational claim after Celtic win
Celtic have been relentless in their pursuit of a second straight Premiership title and their latest win in that quest came away against St Johnstone. It was a tricky task for sure, as the conditions were not the best and it is always a difficult place to travel to. But Ange Postecoglou’s side got the job done, as they have so often this season till now.
Celtic got a 4-1 win over St Johnstone on the day to make sure that their nine point lead at the top of the table over the Rangers remained in tact.
And with just 13 more league games left to be played, with every passing match, that will become more and more tough to overcome for Michael Beale’s side, who have had a good run of results themselves but failed to chip away at the lead that Celtic have built up at the top of the table.
Postecoglou seems to believe that there is more to come from his side though, despite how good they have already been this season. As reported by the Scottish Daily Express, the Celtic manager told Sky Sports:
"“There is more to come from all of them. There is no reason for them to be content with what they had already done so far and all of them should want to improve and my role is to make sure that they do that.”"
Postecoglou makes sensational vow as Celtic continue their march towards another league title
It is safe to say that there have been times this season when Celtic have not looked at their best but managed to find ways to get the job done.
At the moment though, it does feel like they are starting to hit top form and are back in amongst the goals. That is great news for them. Since the Glasgow Derby, the Hoops have let past just one goal while scoring 23.
That is an immense run of form if there ever has been one and it is even more important that they are finding it in the business end of the season. Long may this continue.
